International Myomassethics Federation

A Tradition of Professionalism, Inclusion, and Caring

The international Myomassethics Federation, Inc., (IMF) was established in August 1971, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The founding members dedicated themselves to establishing a professional organization that would encompass all modalities of massage and bodywork. Those founders wanted to further the education and ethical use of myomassology throughout the world.

IMF advocates membership through state/provincial associations, which affiliate with the international group. Persons seeking membership from areas without local affiliate organization are welcomed as members-at-large to IMF. All members would be under the guidance of the bylaws of IMF.

Students, lay members, and other health professionals such as doctors, chiropractors, physical therapists, and nurses are encouraged to become members.
